ARE LEATHER GOODS ETHICAL?

Leather products have always been ethical. None of the animals are killed for their skin. Leather is just a by-product of the meat industry. We are the scavengers, who are putting the otherwise - waste skin to a better use. Do ask this to a person who argue otherwise : Leather from an animal costs just a fraction of what the meat costs. So it's obvious, that the animal is being used for it's meat, leather being it's by-product. In fact, the use of Faux Leather and PU/PVC synthetic is more of an environmental concern as they constitute of plastic, which doesn't degrade. Not to mention, the synthetics breaks down in a year or two of usage, thus adding to the heap of wastage. Do choose the next purchase carefully. P.S. We are excluding the Exotic Leather.
